i loved this Book! It's been a while since i could really say that and mean it! It has everything in it that you could want! Danger, suspense, love, Lust, laughter, silly giggles! I didn't want it to end! Only one objection that i have, near the end you could tell that the author Allie Palomino cut a lot out to make it shorter for your Kindle! and it was obvious! I never give 5 stars to a book unless i really really liked it.A Young girl of 19 named Andie was made laird of her Land as all of her family were Slaitered by Alistair a brother of her father! She watched as they were killed but she did escape with a very young little boy and walked, ran to his fathers land! hopeing to get help since she was returning his son! This didn't happen! At first! it's a long story but you will love it I know. please let me know if you dont, it's hard for me to write a review, I write what i like and love to read and no other! I was berated once because i gave a book only 2 stars! Well! i didn't like the darn book so that's what i gave and meant it! I'm much older that most that read the Highlander books! So give me a break!

I loved this book! There was a time, I'll admit, where the male and female leaf argued too darned much and I was about to give up and delete it, but finally done action started and was happy with the rest of the book. I gay arguing in real life and I detest reading about couples constantly arguing, so I was happy for that section to end. I also had to fly through several sections of never ending
Blatant sex, but I gave it a four, just the same. Love and passion is great, but sometimes it can be a tad too vivid and drawn out. Ot my favorite book but a Good story line.
This book rocked it! Great story, charming characters, hot passion, and even humor, its a must read for anyone who loves historical romance at its best! I even had to write the author to thank her for such an entertaining journey! With this one book, she has scored among my favorites like Paula Quinn, Tarah Scott, Kerrigan Bryne, and Eliza Knight. Can't wait for her next read and MY next mini-vacation!!
I really did enjoy this book. I liked the plot and the premise and all that. And hello, there's a brooding large highlander in here, so yeah, that was a huge plus. The things that I didn't really like about this are
(A) Andie, though she showed bravery and courage, I found it hard to take her seriously because she had such childish tantrums that I felt didn't suit her character.
(B) there were a lot of slow moments where I just ended up skipping because I felt like nothing of interest was happening.
(C) insta-love is my number one pet peeve -- especially when not done correctly. There is an instant of insta-I-Wanna-Marry-You-And-Have-Tons-Of-Babies in this book that didn't seem to fall in line with how that specific character had been portrayed previous to this thunder bolt of love.
(D) I do love me a long ass story. I really do. But with this, it was just too long and for the wrong reasons. I felt like a lot of it could have been taken out.
There are a few other things that I didn't like, but i do not regret reading this ebook. And might even read some of my favorite parts again at some point.
Love, love, love this book! Allie has become my new favorite author, but she has only TWO BOOKS!! Please write more because your characters draw the reader in and they have emotional depth. When they are hurt or loved, the reader feels the hurt and love. I have no problems that this was not written in "historical grammar" because to me its more of a hindrance trying to figure out what some words are and I especially get annoyed when Gaelic is written or "said" and you have no clue what the translation is! So I am perfectly content with the writing style, did not notice anything out of place until it was actually brought up in another review. So in conclusion, read this book because you will not be able to put it down. The love scenes are beautiful and adds to the emotional push ad pull of the characters. READ, READ, this book!
Three stars is all I would give this book.....too much of the story didn't make sense to me, and I really don't know where to begin to explain why....
Here goes nothing. The story ran into itself, if that makes any sense. You're reading along and off to the next sentence and it has nothing to do with the previous sentence......what?! I know, it does not make sense. Either a new paragraph AND a break, or a new chapter should have started.
Because of this, the story gets convoluted, confusing, and in some cases distracting. It jumps all over the place. Plus it just keeps going and going and going......much like the Ever Ready Bunny!!
There's just so much wrong with how this story was delivered, I could go on for days, but I won't. It's a shame really, because it could be a great story...so much potential.

This was my first time reading a book by this Author, I was not disappointed. I took a chance because of cover and my love for medieval novels. The story was so detailed, the plot, the characters, I loved it. Without going into too much detailed, let just say, I cried, I laughed, I cried some more, let's just it was a beautiful story. I loved it.........I definitely will be adding this Author to my list of good Authors. I recommending this book if you are a book junkie like me.
Good Highland romance with interesting characters. I love a strong woman in the heroine role and Andie definitely fit the bill. My main issue with the novel and hence the 4 start rating was that around the middle of the story it got kind of muddled. The hero and heroine seesawed back and forth between loving, hating and arguing with each other and it didn't seem to make sense to me. Other than that, it was an enjoyable and entertaining read and I look forward to more from this author.
